Inflation in India!

Having accomplished the moon lander expedition with success, ISRO is currently making preparations for the imminent launch of a solar mission, expected to take place in around a week, possibly on September 2nd. The objective of this mission is to conduct a comprehensive study of the Sun.

The Aditya-L1 spacecraft has been intricately designed to facilitate remote observations of the solar corona, along with conducting in situ observations of the solar wind. These observations will be carried out from the L1 point, also known as the Sun-Earth Lagrangian point, situated approximately 1.5 million kilometres away from Earth.Aditya-L1 is equipped to furnish valuable insights into both the solar corona and the solar chromosphere through its UV payload. Additionally, it will delve into the study of solar flares by employing its X-ray payloads. The particle detectors and magnetometer payload on the spacecraft are primed to gather data on charged particles as well as the magnetic field within the vicinity of the halo orbit encircling the L1 point.

Manufactured at the U R Rao Satellite Centre, the satellite recently arrived at ISRO's spaceport in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, just two weeks ago.

Word of the week!

Update your mainframe!  The word for this week is:

BRICS drama.

The Brics consortium, composed of prominent emerging economies, has declared the inclusion of six additional nations, as part of an endeavour to restructure the global geopolitical landscape and establish a balancing force against the United States and its allied nations.

Starting from the commencement of the upcoming year, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Argentina, the UAE, and Ethiopia are set to join the existing roster of five members, which comprises Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. This significant development was disclosed during a summit held in Johannesburg on Thursday.China's president, Xi Jinping, characterized the expansion as a pivotal moment in history. He had taken the forefront in advocating for the inclusion of new members, envisioning an expanded Brics as a means for the global South to wield a more influential presence in international matters.

Nonetheless, the extent to which this expansion would tangibly amplify the group's influence on the global platform remains uncertain. Analysts assert that this would hinge upon the degree of unity the group can maintain. The addition of new members has introduced an even more diverse array, spanning potent autocratic regimes alongside middle-income and evolving democracies. As such, the collective's potential impact would be contingent upon their capacity to synchronize their efforts.

AI school?

A brand-new school that uses artificial intelligence has started in Kerala, India. The big opening of the Santhigiri Vidyabhavan happened in Thiruvananthapuram, which is Kerala's main city. The school's special start was done by the former President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, on Tuesday, August 22. This exciting new school is working on changing how education works by using new and smart ways to teach with technology. The AI School is a joint project between Vedhik eSchool and iLearning Engines (ILE) USA, and it's going to change how students learn and study. People who know a lot about education, like former Chief Secretaries, DGPs, and Vice Chancellors, have carefully planned how the school will work. They want to make sure students get a well-rounded education.Initially catering to students in classes 8 to 12, the AI School offers an abundance of learning avenues. From multi-teacher revision support to aptitude tests and career mapping, students can access an array of resources to enhance their academic journey.
